African American History Month at Collin College


Event Details:

Collin College is hosting a series of events throughout African American History Month this February to honor two major events in the African American civil rights movement. 

Events at Collin College will include a special guest speaker, from guest speaker Mia Bay, professor of history and ethnicity at Rutgers University. 

Her talk will be “African American activism through the lens of Ida B. Wells” and it will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 25, in the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center.

 All events are free and open to the public. The Central Park Campus is located at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney, the Preston Ridge Campus is located at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco, and the Spring Creek Campus is located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy. in Plano.
