Wylie Family Funfest will precede the city’s Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular at Founders Park, behind Wylie High School at 2550 W. FM 544.

Family Funfest begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 3, and will include entertainment, concessions and guest speakers. Admission is free.

Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

The city of Princeton, in conjunction with the Lois Nelson Memorial Library, will be hosting a fireworks display Sunday, July 4 at Princeton Community Park. Bounce houses, activities for kids, food vendors and live music will be available from 5 to 9 p.m. At dusk, there will be a 15-to-20-minute fireworks show. Red White and BOOM! returns to McKinney this July 4.

The festivities begin with a downtown parade at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, and then move to the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch July 4 for live music, food, kids activities and a fireworks display.

There will be the Pat Lobb Fascination Car Show from 1 to 7:30 p.m., family activities from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., live music from 8 to 8:30 p.m., and the fireworks begins at 9:45 p.m. 

All activities are free.

Frisco Freedom Fest 4th of July celebration takes place at Pizza Hut Park on Main Street in Frisco, and will feature a Children’s Expo, food from the Taste of Frisco, a soccer match and fireworks. Frisco Freedom Fest starts in the late afternoon and continues through the evening on July 4.

Dallas will offer a free fireworks show at Fair Park July 5.

The Esplanade Fountain will begin dancing, and concessions and games open at 6 p.m. The Dallas Wind Symphony will entertain from 8:45 to 9:30 p.m., and the fireworks blast off at 9:30.

Parking is $10 or take DART’s green line to Fair Park Station.
