Cat burglar nabs part of stadiums PA

A burglar recently threatened the power of the press, or at least the ability to use the Panthers’ public address system. Between Aug. 19 and 20, a suspect broke into the new Panther stadium’s press box and took off with two microphones.
Police responded to the burglary after a PISD custodian alerted the authorities.
According to Detective James Waters and Officer Clint Jenkins, who responded to the call, the burglar used the catwalk that runs in front of the press box to climb up to the box and then entered through an open door.
The two wireless microphones that were stolen are valued at $300.
Waters said he and Jenkins were able to locate several identifiable fingerprints from the outside glass of the press box.
“We are currently following up on leads,” Waters said.
