The Best of Princeton Vote then mark it off the 2012 bucket list

Date:

We’ve all heard the doomsday talk about the Time of No Time or seen the trailer for the apocalyptic movie “2012.” But what if the Mayans were right and our world ends 12/21/2012?
Well, then we all need to get busy on our bucket lists – you know, the things we want to do before we “kick the bucket.”
While Carter and Ed may have driven a Shelby Mustang, visited the Taj Mahal and ridden motorcycles on the Great Wall of China (OK, go rent the movie but be warned … it’s a tear jerker), we want our bucket list to be full of things you can do and people you can meet much closer to home. That’s where you come in.
To find the best and brightest things in our community, we need your help. Fill out this year’s Reader Poll and return it so your friends and neighbors won’t be unenlightened about the must-do things in our area.

The Bucket Brigade
Who are the people who are there to help and do their jobs better than anyone else? Let us know who you think is the best boss, councilman, doctor, school employee and veterinarian in the area.

Light Bucket
Gazing at the star or just finding a place for a picnic, what makes for your favorite outdoor location? And since we’re shining a spotlight on events, what annual activity is simply a must?

Lunch Bucket
From chicken fried steak to health food, what places make others pale by comparison? (Get it? Bucket … pail … pale?)

Bucket Boss
What businesses go all out to provide the best value and customer service? Where do you go for the best haircut? Tank of gas or groceries?

Unlike the Mayans, our winners won’t be asked to duel to the death or run for their lives. It’s simply a popular vote. The person, business or place with the most votes wins. So grab a handful of newspapers, a bucketful of pens and a gaggle of your friends and start voting.

Ballots must be returned by Jan. 31. Mail them to P.O. Box 369 Wylie TX 75098, drop them by our office in downtown Wylie at 110 N. Ballard Ave. or download the pdf, fill it out and email it back to us at news@wylienews.com. (It helps if you put “Best Of” in the subject line.)

From all ballots received each week, we’ll choose (by random drawing) a winner to receive tickets to an Allen American Hockey game.
