Princeton, Farmersville Chamber schedule yard sales for June 5

A world of second-hand shopping awaits savvy consumers Saturday, June 5.

The Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its second-annual citywide yard sale as a scholarship fundraiser. The sale will be held outside the chamber office at 275 W. Princeton Dr. Vendors will open shop at 8 a.m. and close down at 4 p.m.

But for shoppers who just can’t get enough salvaged goods, Farmersville’s Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting its annual Yards and Yards of Yard Sales Saturday.

It will be held from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in conjunction with the monthly Farmers and Fleas, a flea market that takes place once a month in Farmersville’s onion shed on Main Street. 

There are currently more than 40 houses registered for this year’s event, according to Chamber Office Manager Cynthia Craddock-Clark.

“Last year more than 30 houses participated, and everyone seemed to have a great time,” she said. 

The event will be held throughout town and features many yard sales on a single map.

A map of locations is being distributed in downtown Farmersville by several merchants, including Quik Check, Dairy Queen, Feagin’s, Farmers and Fleas and the chamber office.
