Realtor Vickie Lemons, center, prepares to cut the ribbon commemorating her business joining the Chamber of Commerce. Employees of her business, Vickie’s Real Estate Group, and members of the Chamber of Commerce join her for support during the Jan. 14 ribbon cutting held at the group’s new office at 130 West Princeton Dr.

Though Vickie Lemons is not new to Princeton or real estate, she is kicking off the new year with a fresh start. In January, Vickie’s Real Estate Group, Inc. opened a new location at 130 West Princeton Drive.

Vickie’s Group is also new to the chamber of commerce. “I’m from Princeton and believe in supporting the local community as much as possible,” Lemons said.

Though Princeton is still considered a small town, it is growing and is able to offer residents many of the same advantages of other larger towns, Lemons said. She said she looks forward to seeing the city continue to grow.

“I am hoping that it will help my business grow as the city and chamber continue to grow,” she said.

Lemons started Vickie’s Group after the closing of Lemons Team Realty, Inc. in September 2009. She chose the new location primarily because the team needed more space.

“We just outgrew the other office,” Lemons said. The new larger office in the Cantrell building, left of Citizens State Bank, better accommodates the team of realtors working for Vickie’s Group, she said.

“Location was another factor as well, with it being right on Hwy. 380. My business has grown so much,” she said of the new office space.

Lemons said her group is available to help its customers.  “We are here to help them, no matter how small or large the deal is. We are here to help.”

Vickie’s Group is comprised of local realtors who are familiar with the area, Lemons said. Many team members are longtime residents of this area, people who have chosen to raise families here, and some who went to school here themselves, she said.
Vickie’s Group is currently comprised of 11 realtors, with four others training to join the team. “I am always looking for new agents that would like to join our team. So if you have ever thought about getting your license or if you currently have a real estate license and are just not happy, please come talk to me,” Lemons said.

Residents interested in the housing market should also visit Vickie’s Group, Lemons said. “Both buyers and sellers have a huge advantage right now with the tax credit that is being offered to both first-time home buyers and previous owners as well,” she said.

“Call or come see us for more info. The money is there, so if you are thinking about buying a home, now is the time.”

Lemons is a real estate veteran. “I grew up in the real estate industry. One of the first jobs I had was at a real estate company, and it just stuck with me. I love helping people, seeing their dreams come true of finding that home. I’ve sold a lot of homes in my years and have made a lot of friends along the way.”
